- The point being, you can spend $70 CDN downtown one night, for the price of a

- Sure, AT seems to be lagging with the news, either that or they can't keep up
- with the dropping prices.

- I wouldn't trust any review from one magazine, they won't tell you much more
- than your local sales droid would anyway. Sure, if you want to run a modem 24
- hours a day for several years you may as well get the best you can afford, but
- for most people they just need to be able to be online for a few hours at a
- time.

- Almost nothing on the mainland is only $20 cheaper, it tends to be at least 2x
- less expensive.

-
- I know people with the opposite experience, where does that get you? :)
- Besides mail order, used items are more reliable, they have been tested and
- you have someone personal to get in the face of if something goes wrong. :)

-
- Sure, but that situation very seldom occurs, local stores lag mainland prices
- by at least a year in my estimate. And I know more than the sales clerks
- around here about the stuff I buy anyway so support is non existant, I can
- import just as well as they can. :)
